Getting started with AddOnBoss
AddOnBoss puts product options, custom fields, add-ons and personalisation on any WooCommerce product, with no bundle involved. It shares its options engine with BundleBoss, so a set you build in one is available in the other.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- WordPress 6.4 or newer
- WooCommerce 8.0 or newer
- PHP 8.0 or newer
If you also run BundleBoss, keep it updated to a version that ships the shared engine before activating AddOnBoss. AddOnBoss detects an older BundleBoss and waits, with a notice, rather than risking a conflict.
Build an option set
Section titled “Build an option set”- Go to Option Sets in the menu and create a set, for example a Colour set or a Size set.
- Add each option, with an optional fee per choice.
- Save. The set is now reusable across every product.
Attach it to a product
Section titled “Attach it to a product”- Edit any simple or variable product.
- Open the Product Options panel and attach your set.
- The product now offers those choices like a variable product would, without creating a single variation.
Custom fields and uploads
Section titled “Custom fields and uploads”Add text, number, select, checkbox, a heading, or a file upload, each optional or required, with a fee when you want one. Uploaded files and entered values carry through to the order and are covered by the personal-data export and erase tools.
